The 2026 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale concluded with the Sledmere Stud sales team registering some outstanding metrics for its clients and the farm itself.

When business had been concluded late on Monday evening, our sales team had sold all 21 Lots offered over the two days of trading with an aggregate of $8,960,000 placing it in the top-5 of all vendors in attendance — behind only Arrowfield Stud, Widden Stud, Newgate Farm and Coolmore Australia, four of the country’s most commercial ‘stallion stations’.

Significantly, 100 per cent clearance was achieved with our consignment in comparison to the sale’s general clearance rate of 77 per cent.

Highest price received for a member of the draft was a homebred I Am Invincible-Invictus Salute filly (Lot 353) which fetched $1.55 million when sold to Emirates Park, Michael Freedman Racing and Andrew Williams Bloodstock.

In addition to the ‘Vinnie’ ex Invictus Salute filly, the Easter draft also included two magnificent colts which shaved the $1 million mark. Lot 303 (Too Darn Hot [GB]-Fairey Barracuda) sold to ZHANG Linsheng, CHINA for $975,000, and Lot 399 (Starspangledbanner-Love Sensation) to Wei Jiaoqi, CHINA for $950,000.

Another major highlight proved to be the successful sale of Lot 86, a Stay Inside colt from the US-bred mare She’s So Special (USA), for $850,000. The 2nd-crop son of the 2021 Golden Slipper winner was acquired by James Harron Bloodstock Colt Partnership / Tony Fung Colts — two very prominent bloodstock purchasers of colts with longer-term stud potential.

After consigning drafts for three — Magic Millions Gold Coast, Inglis Sydney Classic and Inglis Australian Easter — major yearling sales so far in 2026, the Sledmere Stud sales team has successfully sold 80 Lots for an aggregate of $19,392,500 at a clearance rate of 92 per cent.
