Purchased from the draft of Sledmere Stud at the 2015 Magic Millions yearling sale for $185,000 by Star Thoroughbreds, the I Am Invincible x Abscond filly would go on to be named Invincibella.

Part of the formidable Chris Waller Racing Stable, Invincibella made her debut in January of her juvenile year, finishing fifth after being well supported due to a prior barrier trial victory.

Given a let up, the filly next stepped out on race day in May where she recorded three consecutive second placed efforts, culminating in a stakes placing, finishing a half-length second in the Listed Lancaster Stakes during the Brisbane winter carnival.

Resuming in September, the now three-year-old filly broke her maiden at Canterbury, before second at Listed
level at her next start followed by another win two starts later.

Sent to Melbourne for the Spring carnival, the filly recorded a third in the Listed Hybrid Stakes, with second being eventual Group 1 winner Prompt Response, before another third performance saw her six-start campaign end.

Targeted towards the Group 1 Queensland Oaks when next in work, Invincibella’s campaign was solid without breaking
through for a win, finishing just over two lengths behind the winners in both the Group 2 The Roses and the Group 1
Queensland Oaks, highlighting that the filly didn’t not stay.

Resuming in the September of her four-year-old season, the mare defeated Osborne Bulls first-up before defeating Lubition, before finishing third behind that same mare at Group 3 level in Melbourne.

After the Spring, the mare made an appearance in December in Queensland, finishing a solid fourth at Listed level, before capturing her biggest prizemoney cheque, winning the Fillies And Mares Handicap on the Magic Millions race day at the Gold Coast Turf Club.

During her next campaign, the mare never finished further back than fifth in her five starts, headlined by the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes where she defeated Prompt Response before finishing a narrow fifth behind that
same mare in the Group 1 Tatt’s Tiara.

It was at her next campaign as a five-year-old where Invincibella really flourished, capturing the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes and the Group 2 Blazer Stakes in the space of three runs.

Syndicator and purchaser Denise Martin could not be happier with the recent performances of her mare.

“Invincibella enjoyed a stellar year in 2018 with her $1 million Magic Millions Fillies and Mares last stride victory at the beginning of the year, followed by Group 2 victories in three states as she won the Dane Ripper at Doomben, the Sheraco at Rosehill and wrapped up the year winning the Blazer at Flemington.”

“All credit to Sledmere Stud for presenting a quality filly at the yearling sale, resulting in a very high-class mare on the racetrack.”

Having barrier trial recently at Randwick where she finished third behind multiple Group 1 winner Alizee, Invincibella could head to the 2019 Magic Millions race day at the Gold Coast.
